The Toronto Community for Better Child Care (tcbcc) is a broadly based organization working to establish a comprehensive, high quality, universally accessible, non-profit, publicly funded child care system. Some Achievements:
- achieved payment of Approved rates for child care programs - fought for in every budget cycle- and NOW succeeded in lifting the hard-cap on FDK staffing (budget 2016) - an

acknowledgement from the City that high quality is essential to our childcare system!
- Secured the expansion of Child care in the public and not for profit sector only, becoming the first Municipality in Canada to do so.
- The TCBBC fights for strong community representation on all relevant committees at City Hall. We represent and provide leadership at the District Child Care meetings, at all relevant committees in the Toronto Child and Family Network and at the school boards.
