We’re back and stepping into nature for another powerful day of connection, reflection, and brotherhood. 🥾🌲

Black Men Healing in Nature, an opportunity to step away from the noise of the city and reconnect with ourselves and each other.

Join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, for a restorative outdoor experience designed specifically for Black men and masculine-identified individuals. Together, we’ll explore the power of nature as a space for mental wellness, grounding, and community.

Whether you’re coming to reflect, connect, or simply breathe, this is a space for you. No prior hiking experience is needed—just come as you are.

Trail Difficulty: Moderate hike, approximately 8km (about 1hr 47 minutes), making it accessible for all levels.

Step out of the city. Walk together. Heal together.

This is a collaborative event brought to you by the following partners:

• Black Men’s Therapy Fund ()
• Black Canadian Hikers ()
• Nature Diverse Collective ()

Grateful to have been invited out by the for their first One-on-One hike of the year 🌲🥾

What an experience!

Surrounded by so many new faces, all coming together to connect, reflect, and just be in nature…it was powerful.

We also want to show love to all the youth and young adults who came out. So many conversations throughout the day felt real and meaningful. Moments like that are what make these spaces so special.

At Black Men’s Therapy Fund, we talk a lot about the importance of connection and creating spaces for healing, and that’s exactly what this day felt like.

Huge respect to Kickback!

Seeing youth show up, be present, and build community — that’s what it’s all about.

Seeing spaces intentionally created for young people to grow, connect, and pour into one another… that’s real impact.

Thank you to Kickback for inviting Black Men’s Therapy Fund to be part of this. It’s an honour to stand alongside so many powerful community orgs like doing meaningful work.

If you haven’t already, go check out the Kickback Foundation and the work they’re doing 👏🏾

More moments like this. Always.

There’s something sacred about watching Black men—healers, mentors, brothers—finally exhale.

The real work happens in the quiet moments: sitting with someone at their messiest and still seeing them as whole, holding unconditional positive regard until they can see themselves again. Imagining grace for ourselves, because as Toni Morrison reminds us, “The only grace Black men can have is the grace they can imagine.”

This is why our work is urgent.
Why culturally responsive care for Black men is essential.
Why we fight to remove financial barriers.
Why we believe masculinity can be multidimensional—and healing, communal.

If we can imagine grace, we can imagine redemption.
We can imagine joy.
We can imagine wholeness.

—A gentle landing.

If this work moves you, we invite you to support our mission.
✨ Donate. Share. Amplify. Stand with us. ✨

Together, we imagine grace.
Together, we build healing.
Together, We Are HIM. 🖤

Honoured and deeply grateful to be featured in Season 2, Episode 4 — “Black Men’s Mental Health,” hosted by the incredible .

This episode asks a crucial question: How has anti-Black racism shaped the diagnosis and treatment of Black men?

Amanda dives into this, while also highlighting the ways Black men are actively reclaiming their healing, their care, and their wellness journeys.

Filming this was more than a shoot — it was a beautiful, intentional day devoted to pouring back into the very pillars of our community: Black men showing up for Black men.

This retreat invited us to consider:
What does it truly look like to care for the caregivers in our communities?

We arrived with vulnerability.
We shared with honesty.
We gathered in our courage.
We held each other with care.

Together, we explored the nuanced, delicate, and deeply complex layers of Black men’s wellness. We spoke about what it means to be seen, supported, safe and redeemed — and what our communities need to nurture these conversations with intention.

It’s in these quiet, powerful moments that fear meets courage.

It’s in these spaces that we remember what it feels like to be witnessed without judgment.

Black Men’s Therapy Fund is profoundly honoured to stand alongside some of the most powerful leaders in men’s mental wellness space worldwide. Everyone’s presence is a reminder of why this work must continue — even through exhaustion, doubt, and the heaviness that comes with holding space while needing those very spaces ourselves. Because who cares for the caregivers? Where do we go when we also need the spaces we are building for others?

In this moment, we didn’t just gather.
We built something sacred.
A foundation.
A heartbeat.
A shared commitment to our collective healing.

For that — thank you. 🙏🏾🖤

Today is November 19th, International Men’s Day.

In recognition of this important day meant to highlight the needs of men and boys across the globe, BMTF is partnering with the Honouring the Inner Man Calendar Series and its creator, to launch the Together We are HIM Campaign intended to raise funds for a new collaborative venture, the HIM Heart of Brotherhood Retreat and other relevant programming at BMTF.

We are asking for at least 1000 people interested in supporting the wellbeing needs of Black men to donate $25 or more toward this vital cause. For every donation of $25 or more, donors get a copy of the 2026 special edition of Honouring the Inner Man (HIM) Calendar, done in partnership with BMTF. This is a perfect gift for the men in your life for those working with, connected to, and who care about Black men or boys.

Check out the accompanying social marketing campaign for Together We Are HIM featuring some of the interesting men featured in this year’s calendar and take a read of the HIM Manifesto.

Like, share, donate if able, and continue the conversation where you can!
