Anything can be a planter if you put your mind to it! Use an unusual container rather than the standard black planter and you will have something people will stop and admire.

Check out a few of our favourite unique planter arrangements from this year's Spring Blooms event 🌸

Did you know? A simple leaf cutting from plants like begonia, geranium, or coleus can become a thriving new plant by summer. Taken in the fall and planted in soil once rooted, these cuttings grow quickly and make beautiful additions to outdoor summer planters. A small cutting now can turn into a season full of colour later on.

This one here is from one of our very own members who got to put it on display at our flower show.

Daffodils are one of many bulbs which add colour to our spring environment. Want spring bulbs in your garden? Start by putting a reminder in your September calendar to visit a garden center and purchase a variety of spring bulbs for fall planting. You’ll appreciate the effort next year and they return year over year!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Blooms event! 🌷🌸

It was a wonderful afternoon at the Toronto Botanical Garden celebrating the beauty of the season, sharing a love of gardening, and connecting with fellow members and new friends. Your enthusiasm, support, and passion for floral design and horticulture helped make the event such a success.

And a big thank you to our sponsor INTEGRAcare who made this event possible.
We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events and throughout the growing season!

Did you know? English Ivy is extremely invasive, crowding out native plants, and climbing up houses, fences and trees causing damage to all. We do not recommend planting it in your garden. When you finish growing it in a planter, dispose of it in the garbage, not the compost. Once in compost it will spread far and wide.
