In 2015 (I can't believe how long ago that was!) I was featured on the cover of the ETFO Voice magazine because I stood with my union! Since then, I have continued to fight for what is right because it's important to me. Teacher's have long fought for better working conditions and struggled against the government's austerity agendas. The government is putting more kids in already over populated classrooms, cutting funding, demanding more from teachers and providing less. Together, we must fight to stop the decimation of our public school systems. I stood with my union in 2015 and today I stand with all Toronto Occasional Teachers. Vote Sophie Kroesen for President of the Toronto Occasional Teacher Local on May 14! Hi everyone, clearly from this flyer, we can all tell I'm not very artistic. What I am though, is dedicated to this local. I have over a decade of experience working in the ETFO Toronto Occasional Teachers Local and I can tell you that to this day, that experience has been called on and relied upon frequently.
