Parashah B'reisheet (In the beginning)
This Shabbat we start reading the scriptures from the beginning.
We remember the words of John 1:1 talking about Yeshua “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”Clearly, the story of creation and the story of the Messiah are connected from the very first line.
Share below what comes to mind when you read Genesis 1.
Scriptures readings : Genesis 1:1-6:8 | 1 Samuel 20:18-42 | Matthew 24:29-36

Three years ago, the Jewish people suffered the deadliest day since the Holocaust.
Today we remember those who lost their lives, and we pray for the families, the survivors, and all who still carry this grief.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)

Today is Shemini Atzeret - the eighth day of Sukkot.
Let us be more aware and stay longer in God’s presence this Shabbat.
Scriptures : Deuteronomy 14:22-16:17 | 1 Kings 8:54-66 | Luke 2:21-32
Shabbat Shalom!

Today is Shemini Atzeret - the eighth and final day of Sukkot. Traditionally Jewish communities begin praying for rain (Geshem), asking God to water the land through the coming season.
John 7:37 says that "on the last and greatest day of the feast," Yeshua/Jesus stood and cried out, inviting anyone who was thirsty to come to Him and drink. Most scholars consider this day as the final day of Sukkot. While Israel was praying for rain, Yeshua offered living water - speaking about the Ruach HaKodesh, Holy Spirit, who was to be given after his resurrection.

Our sukkah is ready! We invite you to pause, give thanks for God's provision, and reflect on what it means that He "tabernacled" among us.
May your Shabbat rest and your Sukkot, be filled with joy, rest, and gratitude.
Shabbat Shalom!

Happy Sukkot! Chag Sukkot Sameach!
Today begins Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles — one of the most joyful holidays on the Hebrew calendar. For seven days, Jewish people around the world build and dwell in a sukkah (a temporary, open-air booth) to remember God's provision during the time in the wilderness after leaving Egypt.
What is the meaning of Sukkot for us as believers in Yeshua/Jesus?
In John 1:14, we read "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." The Greek word for "dwelt" is the same root behind "tabernacled." Yeshua tabernacled among us — God himself pitching His tent in the middle of our story, just as He did with Israel in the wilderness.
Sukkot reminds us to rejoice in God's faithfulness through every season.

We are horrified by last night’s shooting outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, where worshippers had gathered on the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Chosen People Ministries Canada condemns this act of violence and stands in solidarity with the Jewish community. Antisemitism has no place in Ontario, in Canada, or anywhere.
We are grateful for the immediate response of law enforcement officers and that no members of the congregation were injured.
Join us as we pray for Constable Jeff Smith’s full and speedy recovery, for his fellow officers, for the Jewish community in Belleville, and for everyone affected.
May the shalom of Adonai reign throughout our beloved Canada!
