What does Paul ask for? He does not pray for better circumstances. He does not ask God to expand ministry platform, bigger numbers, or solving practical problems. He prays for deeper knowledge of God. This is both humbling and clarifying. In a world that prizes results, resources, and relevance even within the church, Paul’s instinct is to pray for something far less visible and far more foundational—that the people of God would truly know Him.

The counting of the Omer is over and tonight begins Shavuot - the Feast of the Harvest, the Feast of weeks.
It is one of the three pilgrimage feasts established by God and celebrated fifty days after Passover (Exodus 23:16).
According to the Jewish tradition on that day happened one of the most significant moments in history - God, through Moses, gave the Israelites His word, the Torah on Mount Sinai.
Century later on the same feast of Shavuot, Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) was powered out in Jerusalem, as promised by God (Acts 2).
So much to celebrate and to be thankful for... and don’t forget the cheesecake tomorrow 😀.

Shavuot, Zman Matan Torah—”the season of the giving of the Law.”
The rabbis believed that the Torah was given on the day of Pentecost, fifty days after the second day of Passover. Never before had the Israelites had the Word of God written down to read and remember.
Shavuot reminds us to be thankful for God’s Word and to delight in it.
