We're celebrating Asian Heritage Month with a recipe that honours the food traditions, skills, and everyday practices carried through generations of Asian communities. Making dumplings together as a family is a fond memory and tradition for many Asian families. The recipe prepares a large batch of pork or chicken dumplings (120–180 dumplings) so the whole family can get involved—and then enjoy eating a lot of dumplings together! On World Hunger Day, nearly 10 million people in Canada are currently experiencing food insecurity - including 2.5 million children. The question is not whether we have the tools to end hunger, but whether the federal government is prepared to use them to take bold, meaningful action to address the root causes.

The solutions exist, but delivering them at the scale required will demand real political leadership — and stronger, more coordinated advocacy from us all to move this issue forward.
