In their first mother-son collaboration, Ocean (Founder, Ocean's Water) and his mom Lara (Founder, Sky's the Limit Youth Organization) joined The Green Herons’ turtle parade, an event spotlighting the organization’s life-saving work to protect turtle hatchlings across the Niagara region.
The group of enthusiastic youth eco-activists put up signage, marked turtle-crossing hot zones, and raised awareness about keeping both hatchlings and mature turtles safe from local traffic.
Ocean was grateful for the opportunity to take action alongside his fellow young changemakers. He also did double duty as a Sky’s the Limit volunteer, donating five laptops to The Green Herons to support their vital environmental work.
Based in the Niagara region, The Green Herons create purpose and leadership opportunities for young people by supporting youth-inspired projects that protect natural spaces and native species.
