Shirley Chisholm is a trailblazer who made history as the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress in 1968 and the first Black woman to run for President in 1972. She shattered barriers with her fearless advocacy for racial and gender equality, education, and social justice. Chisholm’s legacy is a powerful reminder to stand boldly, speak unapologetically, and pave the way for future generations. 💪🏾✨

On December 1, 1955, one brave act of resistance changed history. Rosa Parks, a seamstress and civil rights activist, refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery bus. Her quiet courage led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a 381-day protest that became a defining moment in the fight against segregation.

Rosa Parks wasn’t just tired—she was tired of injustice. Her legacy reminds us that change starts with everyday people taking a stand.
