Toronto Masqueraders Association Our hope for this group is, that as a collective, we can have a voice on how to improve the Toronto Carnival. Our mandate:

1.

The Toronto Masqueraders Association was formed in August, 2013. Foster incremental year-over-year improvements – small wins focused on participant experience and safety.

2. Work collaboratively with the various organizing bodies and official sponsors to foster transparency and accountability (includes FMC, TMBA, OSA, Scotia Bank, City of Toronto, etc.).

3. To create a public awareness education

al campaign using social media and other forums.

4. To shift the cultural mindset associated with the parade – remove the stigma attached to the history of events associated with the parade.

5. Create an exceptional Caribbean Carnival Parade on the world stage.
