Our Story

Toronto Anti-Bullying Youth Association (Stop and Imagine Toronto) a grassroots non-for-profit organization that promotes anti-bullying and community wide understanding of children and youth with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Over the past five years, Stop and Imagine Toronto has gained many experiences running youth-serving programs and events. For example, in 2015 in partnership with Toronto Police, Stop and Imagine Toronto developed and facilitated a pre-employment summer program, in response to the lack of employment among youth in the surrounding community. Consequently, approximately ten young people were able to successfully attain employment while the remain five continue summer school. Further we have consistently hosted numerous events in response to crisis such as the "Reclaiming Your Space Back 2 School BBQ" after a violent attack within our community.

We also implemented a six-week life skills and anti-bullying strategies program at The Waterfront School. Due to the receptivity amongst participants and overall success, the program was extended by the principal for an additional three weeks. Additional, and further to this the bullying rate in the school was also reduced. A attached letter written on behalf of the principal for additional references.

Stop and Imagine Toronto has implemented Speaking with Confidence an afterschool program at the Boys and Girls Club and Fort York Library where 15 participants successfully completed the program and graduated from high school. Due to the success we implemented a Dance Group in partnership with the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation where they compete at the Stomp Urban Dance Competition/Showcase at the Sony Centre for marginalized youth. During youth week we also place 3rd in the Amazing Race "If I Ruled T.O" hosted by Toronto Community Housing
