Meet our Foster Dog, Campbell! 🐾

Paws on the Ground has decided to take things to the next level by welcoming a new pack member into our home. For a long time, fostering animals has been something we’ve wanted to do, and we’re excited to finally begin that journey. We’re Fostering PAWRENTS ! 🥰

We got involved with Redemption Paws through a Foster who helped educate and guide us through the process. Huge thank you to .with.jamie for sharing your knowledge, support, and encouragement along the way. ➕ Give her a Follow!

Campbell is our very first foster, we’re looking forward to helping him on his way to finding the loving forever home he deserves. 💙 Together with , we plan to help Campbell continue building his confidence, sharpen his obedience skills, expand his socialization in a safe and structured environment.

Aaron specializes in working with dogs who need a little extra guidance, patience, and understanding. While Campbell is an incredibly loyal and loving dog, like many rescue dogs, he has experienced challenges in his past and deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

🏠🐶 Campbell joined our home as a foster on May 25, 2026. We decided to give Campbell some time to decompress before making this announcement so we could showcase him at his best. Our goal isn’t just to provide him with a temporary place to stay, it’s to help set him up for long-term success through training, routine, enrichment, advocacy, healthy living and love.

🚨📲 Incoming Call from your New Best Friend.

Today we took a stroll through the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, an animal welfare charity. Did you know they are connected to the Hamilton Animal Services (Animal Control)?. 📍245 Dartnall Rd, Hamilton.

They offer affordable services such as spay and neuter clinics, vaccinations, and flea and tick prevention.

Did you also know they have an on-site store that sells pet supplies and accessories? Proceeds from purchases go right back into supporting the animals and programs within the organization.

Throughout the facility, there are animals waiting for loving homes. Many are in need of fosters and adoptive Pawrents who can give them the care, comfort, and stability that they deserve. If you’ve ever considered fostering or adopting, I’d be happy to help connect you with the right resources and guide you through the process. I would love to feature YOUR successful adoption/foster story with your new Bestie! 🐶 🐱 🐰 🦜 🐹 🐭

There are also many ways to support the animals if bringing one home isn’t an option. Volunteers are always needed to walk dogs, spend time socializing cats, assist with feeding and cleaning, and help enrich the lives of animals in care.

If volunteering isn’t possible, donations are great. You can donate online, in person, through their Amazon wish list, or by dropping off supplies such as unopened pet food, treats, intact toys, blankets, towels, cages, baby gates, and unused medical supplies.

Every contribution—big or small—helps improve the quality of life for animals waiting for their second chance.

The volunteers kindly gave me permission to walk through the public adoption areas and photograph some of the pets currently available for adoption in hope to get some traction and to share their stories. Thank you to all the employees, volunteers, medical staff, partner rescues and everyone behind the scenes.

Won’t you take one home ? These animals are ready to find their forever families, and I can’t wait to share them with you. 🐾❤️

Vidot for the kind invitation for Paws on the Ground to attend the 22 Division Annual Open House in celebration of National Police Week! We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing community event and connect with officers, community members, and families.

Paws on the Ground is a non-profit organization that highlights first responders and their animal companions while raising awareness and fundraising for local shelters and rescues. We also help educate the public on fostering and adoption, while mentoring aspiring first responders through volunteer opportunities, community networking, and service hours.

Meet another PawsOTG Mascot & Handler

We are so excited to introduce Aaron and his rescue dog, Phoebe to Paws on the Ground! 💙

Aaron is a certified dog trainer with 5 years of experience, specializing in:
🐕 General obedience
🐩 Fear & anxiety
🐕‍🦺 Reactivity
🦮 Behaviour challenges etc.

Aaron is passionate about helping owners build stronger bonds with their dogs through structure, routine, patience, and education. His goal is to help owners feel informed, supported, confident and ensuring dogs can thrive and live their best quality of life without the fear of behavioural challenges leading to rehoming.

🙏🏼 Aaron has generously offered his time and expertise to support dogs coming out of the shelter system, we are proud to share that pro bono emergency behaviour sessions are available for dogs at risk of destruction due to behavioural concerns for fosters, adopters or rescues / shelters in need of help.

💰 Aaron also offers his dog training services to our community! If you’re interested in working with Aaron, please reach out, all new clients will receive a FREE 15-minute consultation to discuss your dog’s needs.

As if that wasn’t enough, Aaron has also signed up to foster with , where he will commit to caring for, training, enriching, and supporting every dog placed with him until they find their forever family. 🐾

🚨 Vendor Alert !

We’re excited to be part of an upcoming softball event! We attended last year and had an amazing time at Coronation Park, so we’re thrilled to be back again.

A huge thank you to Headout Toronto for inviting us and generously supporting our mission by allowing us to fundraise for Redemption Paws, a local Greater Toronto Area animal rescue. Together, we’ll be raising awareness for their incredible work rescuing dogs from high-kill facilities and helping them find the second chances they deserve by providing them “freedom rides” to Furever homes. Amazing teamwork for an incredible cause. 🐾

4 climbs, 1 mission & we’re still showing up!

Paws on the Ground founder Holly has now completed her fourth CN Tower climb, while today was not her fastest time, the climb was just as meaningful. 🏃🏻‍♀️🖤

We welcomed a new team member, Jenn, who came in strong and pushed past her previous climb time from another organization. 💪🏼 Jenn works in the security industry and is working toward her goal of becoming an officer.

Together, we took on 1,776 steps (145 flights) in the 2026 WWF CN Tower Climb for Nature to support conservation, protecting habitats, and fighting climate change.

While we didn’t hit our $500 goal, we raised $262, and every dollar truly makes a difference for animals 🐾 🥹
