Toby's Place was created to answer the call to create a loving and affirming space for 2S-LGBTQIA+ youth in Scarborough, Ontario. Toby's Place is a drop-in program for LGBTQ+ youth in high school to age 23 in south west Scarborough, Ontario. Through Toby's Place, we seek to create a sanctuary where LGBTQ+ youth of all faiths (or no faith) are welcome to join us for community, connection, discussio
n, and support. VISION: We believe in working toward a world where all are free from discrimination and oppression and all are nurtured and supported in the universal call to live as our authentic selves. MISSION: We seek to create a space where LGBTQ+ youth have the opportunity to be nourished in body and soul. We offer comfort, support, inspiration, and encouragement for individual, community, and global transformation by affirming both the reality and the dreams of the LGBTQ+ youth in our community. VALUES: We are called to work within a stance of mutuality and to invite youth to see the possibility of owning their own power and making decisions about their own lives.
