Glendon West Indian Association GWIA's goals are to actively promote the culture of the Caribbean as well as to raise awareness with regard to current issues to the York community.

The Glendon West Indian Association’s (GWIA) goals are to actively promote the culture of the Caribbean through socio-cultural programs as well as to raise awareness with regard to current issues to the York community. GWIA also aims to engage in charitable endeavors both locally and in the West Indies. GWIA’s objectives are to unite and empower the Caribbean students at Glendon College as well as

to involve students of non-caribbean heritage who share similar interests. Its slogan is ‘Strength in Unity’.
