AN AFROPOLITAN PERSPECTIVE ON GLOBAL ISSUES
WEKESA is an independent, nonsectarian and nonpartisan platform dedicated to promoting a different perspective on reporting Global Issues. This platform hopes to elevate awareness of African issues beyond the dominant stereotypes: Corruption, tribal and ethnic conflicts, poverty, famine, and HIV/AIDS. WHAT IS WEKESANEWS? The articles and reports
on WEKESANEWS will focus on global issues. Aspects covered will not be limited to political issues, but will also include historical, environmental, economical, and cultural aspects shaping the livelihood of the people of Africa and beyond. Articles will be written by experts, citizen journalists, civil societies actors, and keen observers of international issues. The interests of Africa and of humanity as a whole will be the underlying aspect collating the entire contributions. While fulfilling its mission, WEKESA will keep high its ideals and values. Wekesa also believes cooperation is underpinned by the welding of a donor's passions, critical community/social needs and strategic philanthropy, and that everyone has valuable resources to invest in the public interest. Wekesa Projects intend to put in place a platform to raise funds to promote pro-poor and pro-social initiatives.
