Livelihood Project Canada

Livelihood Project Canada The Livelihood Project is a non-profit organization and café in Kensington Market in Toronto. Thank you for your support.

The Livelihood Project helps refugees and newcomers find their place in Toronto. We believe, and fight for, an equal and unbiased opportunity to live and work in Canada. We practice this by hiring most of our employees and staff members from the refugees community in Toronto. In fact, 50 percent of the income of the cafe goes to our refugee employees who are in charge of preparing most of the food

offered in our cafe as well as running most operations. We prepare our refugee employees to take on bigger and more skilled positions later on for their future career path. Since opening doors in October 2016, Livelihood Project has provided employment to 52 individuals who collectively have made close to CAD 500,000 in earnings.
