GMC 108 Jangchub Chorten Project — Update.

The Bhutanese Association of British Columbia (BABC) and the Association of Bhutanese in Ontario (ABO) are proud to announce the successful completion and official handover of our joint fundraising campaign for the GMC 108 Jangchub Chorten Project.

Representing the collective generosity and aspirations of Bhutanese living across Canada, the Fundraising Steering Committee officially handed over CAD $52,966 through a virtual ceremony, with contributions from the Bhutanese communities of Ontario and British Columbia.

This offering is more than a financial contribution—it is a symbol of our unity, compassion, faith, and heartfelt devotion to His Majesty’s noble vision for the peace and well-being of Bhutan and future generations.

During the ceremony, GMC Project Lead Dasho Tashi Dorji expressed his sincere gratitude to the Bhutanese community in Canada for voluntarily coming together and supporting this historic national initiative.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every donor, volunteer, community leader, the 108 Stupas office, and Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan, New York for their invaluable guidance and support. Special thanks to Druk Happy Sushi & MoMo for sponsoring the Apple Watch for the Silver Coupon Lucky Draw, and Fercon Group for sponsoring the iPhone 17 for the Gold Coupon Lucky Draw.

📢 Important Announcement: Third Child Plus Programme (TCPP)

The Royal Government of Bhutan has launched the Third Child Plus Programme (TCPP) to support Bhutanese families with a third child or subsequent children.

✅ Eligible children will receive Nu. 10,000 per month until they reach 3 years of age.

✅ The programme covers:
• Third and subsequent children born on or after 4 June 2026
• Eligible third and higher children born before 4 June 2026 who had not yet turned 3 years old as of 4 June 2026

✅ Each eligible child will be enrolled independently, and families may receive benefits for more than one eligible child at the same time.

✅ The programme is also available to Bhutanese families residing abroad.

Through this collaboration, members will have access to professional assistance for notarizing various official documents that may be required for immigration, education, employment, travel, government applications, and other legal purposes.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to providing practical support and trusted resources to the Bhutanese community across Ontario.
