School-Based Programs

Volunteers, recruited from the school and neighbouring communities, each read weekly or biweekly for half a day during school hours
Children (selected by the school from Kindergarten to grade 2) read ½ hour twice weekly
All reading is one-to-one
All materials are provided by VRP and the school
Volunteer training and a Police Reference Check are mandatory
When children achiev

All VRP children receive a certificate and gift of a book at the end of the school year.

It's a great day for love and a great day for friends and family to support Volunteer Readers Programme Love for Literacy Month 💕 This is the only time of the year when we solicit donations so please have a look at what we have accomplished in our first FIFTEEN YEARS!
