Today, May 13, the Toronto Asian Art Museum (TAAM) was pleased to visit St. Robert Catholic High School for a special cultural heritage event with approximately 150 students participating throughout the day.
Students explored a selection of Asian artifacts from TAAMβs collection, learning about the history, craftsmanship, and cultural stories behind each piece. The event also included an interactive Chinese knotting workshop, where students had the opportunity to experience a traditional folk art practice hands-on.
It was wonderful to see so many students engaging with cultural heritage through both artifact interpretation and creative activities. TAAM would like to thank the staff and students of St. Robert CHS for the warm welcome and enthusiastic participation.
We look forward to continuing to share Asian art, history, and traditions with schools and communities across the GTA.
