After the success of StoryPillars Event Series this past winter, Storytelling Toronto is expanding into year-round programming with the return of the series in Fall 2026 at Palmerston Library Theatre!

This time we're doing things a little differently- instead of submitting stories, we're looking for YOUR ideas for shows and events.

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and original programming from the GTA community that celebrates and amplifies the oral tradition of storytelling in its many forms. 🗣

Submission are open NOW!

For more information on submission details and requirements head to our webpage: https://storytellingtoronto.org/Storypillars

While our talented photographer Matt Hertendy (@matt.hertendy) was busy snapping new headshots for our members, we captured some great moments from our Sunday festival programming!

The Toronto Storytelling Showcase highlighted a blend of new and experienced tellers 🗣

Jacqui brought rich energy to the family storytelling alongside Teddy Bear's Picnic, Parent-Child Mother Goose and Lenore Keeshig 🧸

Ugonma Ekeanyanwu received the Alice Kane Research Award and Anne Amythe Travel Award for her development of 'An African Folktale – Queen Ukandu', including her travel to Conference in Victoria!

A pair of audience members travelled all the way from MARYLAND to see our festival, snapped here with Daniel Morden before his incredible, grizzly, Mother's Day-aligned performance of The Thief's Tale! 🔪

Ozaawaa Secord led the final concert in a prayer in Ojibwe!

More Festival photos and memories to come- what a weekend, thank you to everyone who attended and created such incredible energy!

Saturday Storytelling 🗣

Wow, what a day full of talented tellers that we had the pleasure of hosting all day Saturday from Storytent at Wychwood Barns in the morning through to the epic retelling of Iliad: Song of Thetis from Raccontamiunastoria.

Jacqui Du Toit enthralled the audience with her incredible biographical show 'The Hottentot Venus: Untold'.

Qu**rs in your Ears told devilish tales at The Arquives before we had a very Italian evening of stories.

Mariella Bertelli's Italian Connections brought together music and folk stories filled with heart!

Paola and Davide rocked the house with Iliad: Song of Thetis to close out an incredible day of stories!
