Dance
The Hamazkayin Dance Institute and ‘Erepouni’ Dance Ensemble consist of over 80 students and dancers, ages 6 and up. Dance instructor Lori Najarian is a graduate of the National Dance Academy of Yerevan and specializes in Armenian traditional dance. The ‘Georges Sarkissian’ theatre troupe presented numerous plays throughout the years. At this time, it is in need of a professional director. Library
The ‘Haroutiun Manougian’ library is located at the Armenian Community Centre, 45 Hallcrown Place, Toronto. It houses over 3000 books of Armenian classical and contemporary authors, including children’s books. The Library is open on Friday evenings and Sundays until 2 p.m. It is worth noting, that due to the efforts of this committee, Canadian public libraries now carry books written in Armenian. For many years, artist Sirak Melkonian has run the Hamazkayin workshop, allowing those who have a passion for painting, to learn and to express their talents. The workshop is held annually, starting in October and runs over a number of weeks. Film
