Closed on Thursday April 2 and Friday April 3 for Passover. The grounds will be open on Sunday April 5. The office will be open Monday April 6. The cemetery will also be closed the final two days of Passover Wednesday April 8 and Thursday April 9.

We experienced a good 70 cm snowstorm yesterday. While the grounds are open and the roadway is clear to drive, please consider that we are unable to clear pathways for private visitation. We, as always, clear areas as necessary for all funeral services.

Winter is near. Remember that our efforts are concentrated on keeping the road clean and salted, while other areas are not cleared of snow or ice unless access is necessary for funeral services. Please exercise caution when visiting. If you require a gate to be opened for a visit, please contact our office the day before.

Sometimes Mother Nature takes down a tree. We will make sure another tree 🌳 is planted to replace the one that is being removed.

We are finally working to get monument photos taken for our search directory within our website. No small task, but we hope this project can be finished before November.

We are considering selling space on our website to family to memorialize a relative with a link to personal pictures, stories, or other items that will offer a personal side to the names included on our data file. Fall weather, the leaves are changing. We’ve started the flower clean up which begins after thanksgiving/first frost. Our gates will be closing earlier as the daylight hours shorten. Please be sure to look at The Dawes Road Cemeteries

We are closed on the Jewish Holidays and Saturdays. Gates on Herron are opened by appointment to enhance security.

Taking care of leaning monuments in the old part of the cemetery. 14 graves either leaning monuments require removal of old concrete and pouring new footings that have 4 foot depth to avoid frost heave.
A lot of care is taken to protect the monuments from damage and to ensure we don’t touch any burials.

Despite the rain presenting a challenge this month, our team has put in considerable effort to maintain the lawn. We are delighted with how healthy the grass looks, and the flowers are flourishing. Our attention is now turned to fertilizing the gardens to continue ensuring their magnificent appearance.
