Dr. Jonathon Ross is a chiropractor with a clinical focus on neurological rehabilitation, concussion recovery, complex conditions, and exercise-based rehabilitation. He integrates principles from clinical neuroscience, biomechanics, sensory-motor rehabilitation, and exercise science to help individuals restore function and return to meaningful activities.
Dr. Ross holds a Diploma in Clinical Neuroscience from the Carrick Institute and is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. His clinical work frequently involves individuals experiencing persistent neurological symptoms following concussion or injury, including challenges involving movement, balance, sensory processing, autonomic function, and exercise tolerance.
This presentation will include:
• How our understanding of FND rehabilitation has evolved
• What current neuroscience tells us about brain networks involved in movement, attention, sensory processing, and the sense of control or agency
• Why rehabilitation for FND can look different from traditional rehabilitation
• Tailoring individualized rehabilitation plans with consideration of sensory, autonomic, motor, psychological, and environmental factors
• The role of education, exercise, and multidisciplinary care in helping individuals regain confidence in movement and function
