The “30 Days of Change” project is an opportunity to raise funds for the people suffering in Syria. Beginning July 20th 2012 over the course of 30 days we are asking people to pledge to collect change in an empty can, container, box or anything around the house. At the end of the 30 days the cans of change will be collected and given to the Human Concern International Syria Appeal. During the mon
th of Ramadan our good deeds are multiplied, so why not take the opportunity to help our brothers and sisters halfway around the world, and make a CHANGE through CHANGE! In Summary
Step 1: Sign up to the “30 Days of Change” Ramadan challenge here
https://www.facebook.com/events/253035871479487/
Step 2: Find an empty can, container, box and label it “30 Days of Change” (Recycling is good for the environment!)
Step 3: Pledge to put extra change or bills throughout the month in the containers as donations. (Remember to keep it in a safe place!)
Step 4: Decorate your empty can, container or box and take a picture of it to upload them on the “30 Days of Change” page. This will help promote the idea and get more people to pledge to collect money throughout the month! We also get to see how creative you get with your donation box! Step 5: At the end of the month we will collect the donation boxes and donate the funds to the Human Concern International Syria Appeal. Drop-off locations within the Greater Toronto Area will be listed shortly
Step 6: The top 2 winners with the best decorated cans will receive prizes for their efforts. It’s as simple as that, and the rewards are endless
Abu Hurairah (ra) reported Allah’s Messenger (saw) as saying:
“Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).”
