Some of you may be wondering who are we and how we come about. About 18 years ago an American Staffordshire Terrier was brought into Brians life. Little did he know, that was to be the very beginning of his journey of love, pit bull advocating and dog rescuing. Tyson was a gentle soul, full of character, full of love and changed the lives of everyone he encountered. Tyson, with his charm and chari
sma, started to change minds, helping people realize that the stigma that followed "pitbulls" was simply not true. After 14 amazing years, Tyson left behind a legacy, a drive to save lives and give a voice to the pups who are shunned simply because of how they look. Together we work to rescue and give dogs a second chance at finding a forever loving home. Tyson N Friends is a small non-profit organization ran by one of Tyson's owners Brian Ferreira. Brian is a plumber by day, dog rescuer by night. Brian along with his incredible volunteers, and other animal advocates work together on their spare time to save lives, bring back to health and re-home rescue dogs. With no discrimination of breed, age or health Brian and friends come together to give dogs a second chance. We work to rescue any breed that needs a forever home, but our main drive and focus is on our local bully breeds. There are lots of way you can help to support Tyson N Friends. Please note that due to the BSL in Ontario, fosters only will be needed for our bullies until we find them a home out-of province, as they cannot be adopted in Ontario.
