He survived the unimaginable.
But surviving was only the beginning.

For months, Ilan* lived with invisible wounds, fear, isolation, anxiety, and memories that no one could see. He couldn’t escape.

Through specialized trauma care at Hadassah Hospital’s Psychological Rehabilitation Unit, he slowly began finding his way back to life.

Healing doesn’t happen overnight. But with compassionate care, human connection, and the right support, recovery is possible.

This is what your support makes possible.
From survival to strength.
From trauma to hope.

Donate today through the link in our bio and help provide life-changing trauma care for those healing from invisible scars.

A Shabbat Shalom greeting from the Co-Chairs of CHW Toronto Tzedakah Chapter’s 2026 At Our Table Event, held this past week.

CHW Toronto Tzedakah Chapter’s sold-out 23rd annual At Our Table featured renowned physician Dr. Shai Efrati speaking on PTSD treatment, trauma recovery, and resilience following October 7.

The event raised over $600,000 in support of Hadassah Hospital, Shamir Medical Center, and Canadian Young Judaea’s JOLT leadership program.

Since launching, At Our Table has raised more than $3.4 million to support CHW’s healthcare, education, mental health, and social service initiatives in Israel and Canada.

We are so proud of the incredible work being done by our CHW Chapters across Canada and the incredible dedication to our mission, that we see every single day.

Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom, and a wonderful, restful weekend!
