The Grocery Foundation began in 1979 when a handful of Ontario grocery leaders decided it was time for their industry to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Today, it is supported by a growing number of companies in the grocery retail and manufacturing industries to support our mission. Through our Night to Nurture Gala, our Make Happy Tummies (formerly Toonies for Tummies) campaign and its Breakfast Program, we work get healthy food to hungry children.

It's that time again! The Make Happy Tummies campaign is back!

From today, until April 2nd, you can donate to the Make Happy Tummies campaign to support local students as they EAT. LEARN. SUCCEED. through student nutrition programs in schools.

Healthy meals today. Thriving children tomorrow. 🩷

Children who go to school hungry aren’t just missing a meal - they may struggle to focus, learn, and manage their emotions. Studies show that food insecurity is linked to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and stress in youth, making access to nutritious meals vital for both physical and mental health.

Through Make Happy Tummies, every dollar goes directly to local school nutrition programs, helping children where they live and learn. Together, we can make a real difference, one meal at a time.
