Alpine Club of Canada, Toronto Section

Alpine Club of Canada, Toronto Section National organization to promote mountaineering, mountain activities & culture.

The Alpine Club of Canada (ACC) has been a focal point for Canadian mountaineering since its founding in 1906. The Toronto Section was formed early on in the life of the ACC, but took formal shape in the early 1950s with rock climbing in what is now Bon Echo Provincial Park as well as various spots along the Niagara Escarpment and elsewhere in the province. These days, it's a focal point for all kinds of climbing and other outdoor activities.
