Patagonia Ambassador and legendary Canadian alpinist Barry Blanchard is on tour for his new book The Echo: Stories from the Edge of Survival. Picking up where The Calling left off, The Echo shows a different side of the legendary alpinist: one whose edges have been softened by age, parenthood, mentorship. Barry’s well of wisdom is deep and his storytelling is captivating; hearing him share his life in person is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Bryan Thompson has organized four large-scale re-enactment expeditions in Canada, involving extremely difficult terrain and circumstances. In each case, Bryan was partnered with award-winning filmmaker Greg Gransden.

Together, the two adventurers have created three cutting-edge films that have been viewed by millions worldwide.

Bryan and Greg will talk about how to prepare for and film a major expedition, followed by the first-ever screening of their latest film about their most daring and dangerous project yet.

We’re excited to share that ACC Toronto will be participating in the MEC Gear Swap and Demo Days at MEC Toronto. We’re looking for volunteers and sellers!

📅 Dates: May 2 & 3
⏰ Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm
📍 Location: MEC Toronto (300 Queen St W)

We’ll have two ACC tables at the event:
• Demo Table (volunteers needed!)
• Selling Table (free for ACC members, limited space)
