January 1, 1804 – January 1, 2026 marks 222 years of Haiti’s Independence.
Despite the current challenges facing Haiti, this historic victory remains a powerful testament to resilience, courage, and freedom and it deserves to be celebrated.
The Haitian Association of Hamilton Ontario in partnership with Coalition Creole Ontario, warmly invites you to join us in commemorating Haiti’s Independence Day on January 1st.
The celebration will take place at Haitian Association of Hamilton Ontario , where we will honor the bravery of our ancestors and share Soup Joumou, an iconic dish of our cultural heritage and a profound symbol of Haiti’s liberation and dignity.
We look forward to celebrating this meaningful moment of history, unity, and cultural pride with you.
