From learning on the water to giving back on shore, our youth are building leadership skills while deepening their connection to the environment. Every voyage teaches us the importance of protecting our lakes, oceans, and shared spaces for future generations. 🌊💚

Here at Broad Reach we are sad to hear that Bryan Gooderham has died. Brian was a master of his craft in vessel restoration and his work on Jilasi is but one of his legacies. We will drop a wreath from her decks sometime this summer to remember a man who has left a great deal of sailing legacy. Fair winds and eight bells, dear Mr. Gooderham.

Spend your summer exploring the crystal-clear waters of Georgian Bay and the North Channel aboard TS Playfair, all while learning to sail, building leadership skills, and making lifelong friendships. 💙

This fully-funded youth program gives you the chance to:
⛵ Learn to sail at no cost
👯 Meet new people and build confidence
🌊 Explore remote islands, anchorages, and waterfront towns
💖 Give back through a community project
📜 Discover Canada’s maritime history and heritage

Set sail from Tobermory, home to the famous Chi-Cheemaun ferry, shipwrecks, and the stunning waters of Fathom Five National Marine Park. Along the way, explore hidden gems of the North Channel, including Manitoulin Island, Lake Topaz, and Bridal Veil Falls. ⚓✨

By the end of the voyage, you’ll gain real sailing skills, leadership experience, and the confidence to take on new challenges, on and off the water.

Open to youth ages 13–18. No sailing experience needed.
