Habitat for Humanity at University of Toronto is a student group that is dedicated to the Habitat for Humanity mission to help low-income families be able to live in affordable housing. We are a group of individuals that share the vision of breaking the cycle of poverty, our goal is to motivate and involve the U of T community to join us in our mission. At Habitat for Humanity, our work is grounde

d in the philosophy of promoting self-empowerment to the partner families by offering them a 'hand up' and not a 'hand out'. Each partner family works alongside volunteers in building homes, and together we fight for affordable housing for ALL. The HfH at U of T group primarily acts as a facilitator to the U of T community so that volunteer service can be as convenient and student-accessible as possible during their academic years. Our goals are to raise awareness for the Habitat for Humanity organization on campus, fundraise for Habitat for Humanity initiatives, and uniting students in making a difference in the world.
