Sava Serbian Orthodox Church was established in Toronto in May 2000, by V. Vasilije Tomić, Jasmina Vučurović, conductor and Nada and Milan Dimitrijević, seasoned choral singers. The Choir responds during Holy Liturgies at St. Sava Church and has also performed in Toronto, Milton, Ottawa, Kitchener, Niagara Falls, Whitby and Hamilton in Canada, Chicago, Boston, Portland and New York in U.S.A., as w

ell as in London, Stockholm and Belgrade in Europe as well as in Acre (Akko), Nazareth, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in the Holy Land – Israel. With the blessings of His Grace Bishop of Canada Georgije, the Kir Stefan the Serb Choir has been honoured and inaugurated as the official choir of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Canada in 2011. The Choir is named after the first known medieval Serbian composer Kir Stefan the Serb. The Choir’s mission, to be the ambassador of Serbian culture, has been accomplished through many performances.

Kir Stefan the Serb Choir of Toronto, under the direction of conductor Jasmina Vučurović, is pleased to announce its concert tour of Serbia entitled “Along the Paths of Prayer”, from July 7th to 11th.

After twenty-three years, the Choir returns to Serbia. This tour is a celebration of the enduring connection between the Serbian diaspora and its homeland, bringing together people through choral music, shared heritage, culture, and tradition.

Concerts will be held in:
• Sremski Karlovci – Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas – July 7, 2026
• Novi Sad – Cathedral Church of St. George – July 8, 2026
• Oplenac – Church of St. George – July 9, 2026
• Belgrade – Crypt of the Church of Saint Sava – July 11, 2026

TODAY IS THE DAY OF THE CONCERT!

Tonight at 8:00 p.m., the Kir Stefan the Serb Choir will take the stage at St. Paul’s Basilica in Toronto for our annual concert Between Heaven and Earth.

For months we have worked, rehearsed, learned new compositions, challenged ourselves, and shared countless musical moments together. Every rehearsal carried the same goal — to create an evening of music that speaks to the heart.

Tonight, we are proud and deeply grateful to share that journey with you.

Join us for an evening of Orthodox sacred music and musical traditions from around the world — from the Balkans and Eastern Europe to the Mediterranean and Latin America.
