Estonian Central Council education committee members Valia Reinsalu, Johanna Helin and R**t Marten Sehr were honoured to receive letters of appreciation from Estonian Minister of Research and Education Kristina Kallas for our ongoing work with Estonia’s education leaders. Over the past 2 years, EKN has collaborated with Estonia to provide more than 100 Estonian principals, professors and ministry officials with week long professional learning at OISE, Ontario Principal’s Council, Toronto area schools and resource centres. The next group is coming in October. 🇨🇦🇪🇪

Some photos from today's Black Ribbon day commemoration event - a collaboration between the Estonian Central Council of Canada and Latvian and Lithuanian Baltic federations at the Keskfest tent (across from Keskus and Tartu College) at noon.
Black Ribbon day marks the international day of remembrance for victims of Stalinism, Na**sm, and other totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, commemorating the anniversary of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.
