Concord in the City offers full time and part time day programs for adults who have aged out of the school system. Participants must be over the age of 21 and be able to participate in a 3:1 (participant to staff) ratio. As we wind down our 10th year, we hear from the woman who (along with Kevin) started it all.

Melissa has been working in the disability sector for over 20 years. Her passion for seeing the potential of adults with disabilities continues to guide Concord’s programming and vision.

She doesn’t do it alone by any means, but her unwavering belief that every individual deserves opportunities, inclusion, and a place to belong has helped shape Concord into the community it is today.

Over the past decade, we have celebrated countless milestones, created lifelong friendships, launched meaningful employment opportunities, and broken down barriers together. None of it would have been possible without the dedication of our staff, volunteers, families, supporters, and participants who make Concord what it is.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to 10 years of impact, inclusion, and possibility—and to many more years ahead. 💙

Most of us were recovering from our trip but we still made it a memorable week.

As Tyler continues to say “only 3 more weeks of program” we are excited to make the most of it.

Thanks to Matt for hosting our first ever Community Thursday awards ceremony.
Congrats to all the participants and winners.

A huge thank you to the City of Brampton for once again trusting our incredible bakers and baristas to create delicious cookies in celebration of National Accessibility Week. 🍪☕️

Partnerships like this mean so much to our team. The City of Brampton continues to show what true community support looks like — not only uplifting Concord’s mission, but also championing many small organizations that create opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Every order placed is more than just cookies and coffee. It’s confidence, employment, skill-building, inclusion, and the chance for our participants to continue showing the community what they are capable of.

We are so grateful for your continued support and belief in our team. 💙

“The world.” 🌎
That’s what Concord means to Vincenza and Marc — better known as Nacho.

In this video, Vincenza beautifully captures the heart of what we strive to do every single day: create a space where individuals with disabilities are seen, valued, celebrated, and given every opportunity to shine.

At Concord, our mission has always been to help our community recognize the abilities, strengths, and impact of every individual we support.

As we celebrate 10 years of breaking barriers, we’re working toward our $10,000 “10 for 10” fundraising goal. If you’re able, please consider donating through the link in our bio or sharing this post with 10 friends to help us spread the word. 💙
