The school’s mission is to provide the highest creative caliber of artistic expression through the traditional and classical dance of Bharatnaytam. Abinayakshetra offers bountiful opportunities to students at any stage of life, including nurturing values in leadership, empowerment, and positive wellness. Currently, more than 100 students are enrolled at the school, where they appear in major stage

performances, some of our note worthy stages have been; Harbourfront Centre, Scotiabank Arena, John Bassett Theatre, Flato Markham Theatre, Innis Town Hall of University of Toronto and Premiere Legacy Performance for Heritage Month. Beyond this level of showmanship, our school ensures flexibility virtual private and group sessions as well as onsite classes in Scarborough, Markham, Ajax and Misssissauga. The school is defining new directions in performing arts education, storytelling and bringing to life a range of learners vision to excel at this classical style of dance. About Teacher:
Karthiha Parthiban is the lead instructor at Abhinayakshetra and has accumulated 20 years of teaching experience. She graduated from the world renowned institute Kalekshetra Foundation, India. Karthiha holds a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Bharathidasan University, India. Her prominent and well-rounded dance career entails going around the world to collaborate and contribute in directing workshops which has formed life-long relationships to add to the school.
