The main goal of the organization is to organize various musical performances, which would lead to some revenue What is Toronto Persian Musicians, TPM? The main goal of the organization is to organize various musical performances, which would lead to some revenue. The resulted income is going to feed charitable organization inside and outside Canada, directly and indirectly. What do we mean by dir

ect and indirect donation? We use the term directly to imply the fact that we hand in the money to a particular organization, let say to MS society of a country. By saying indirectly, we are trying to establish the fact that we spend a portion the money for advertising, musician’s transportations, set up cost, and other expenses that we need to address to be able to donate directly. In a better word, indirect costs are mediating the direct donations. How can you check what portion of the money is going for direct or indirect donation? Our accounting department will issue all the financial information in a booklet annually. That is all of our financial information are public sector and anyone can reach them. In doing so, we will protect the confidentially of our donors according to the donor’s determination. Approximately one month of after the issue of the booklet, there is going to be a public meeting in which all individuals can advance their critics to the organizers. How do we choose the charitable organization? Our research and development team is constantly searching to find organization that accepts donations. After finding such organization, our team is going to investigate about several aspects of the interested company. These aspects can include the financial prospects of the company, nature of the donation that the company is known for, and many other criteria. How can you introduce a charitable organization to us? One way to do so is that you can be a part of our research team, and propose the charitable organization to the team. In case for any reason you do not want to be a part of the team, you can contact us via email. In response to you email we would send the organization a package, which would include a questionnaire that needs to be filled by the organization. After receiving the filled forms from the organization, our team starts their work to see if they are eligible to receive donations from us. Upon their approval they will receive a congratulation email from TPM and they would be placed in a sequence to obtain donations. How are the organizations placed in sequence? One of the factors that play a role in putting organization in sequence is timing. That is, if two organizations that have fairly similar properties approach us to receive donations, the organization that came first is going to receive funds prior to the other organization. The queuing is not solely based on acceptance period of the organization, but other factors; such as, nature of the donation of the organization might play a role. For example, we might place an origination that collecting funds for earthquake victims on top of our list for a period of time. Who can help us or be a part of the TPM? Anyone with any background can be a part of TMP. Although the group’s name is carrying certain criterions, it does not imply that we are only looking for Persians who live in Toronto and can play music. Moreover, individuals who want to help, yet for any reasons do not want to be in the TPM have the option to do so. To be clearer, you might only do one project for us without being in our team. Can someone who has no musical background help or be in TPM? Absolutely yes, we need volunteers in various sections. What will a volunteer gain while helping TPM? In any volunteer based job, the volunteers themselves are usually gaining more than the people who are receiving help. The accomplishment can be either the experiment they get over the course of volunteer work or the emotional satisfaction that they are likely to attain. Other than the mentioned fact, for the musicians it is a great opportunity to find other musicians and practice in a regular bases. These small musical groups might work together as a band out side the scope of TPM. That is, there is no obligation for musicians are restricted to TPM. Moreover, the musicians have tremendous amount chance to introduce themselves to the public. Namely, the musicians are encouraged to pass on their information to increase the number of their students or popularity. On the other side, for the non-musicians, or musicians who want to do more than performance the following benefits are worth mentioning. TMP will provide them with free training to be able to work in desired sections. Furthermore, a letter of recognition is provided to the volunteers annually. Also, TMP organizers are more than happy to give references to the volunteers who help TMP to move forward. Formally you can apply for a particular position by sending us your resume, which should include the objection section. However, to make the process easier, you can apply by sending us an email (or even Facebook message) stating your skills and your favorite position(s) (if you have any). We would contact you in a matter of days. What skills are we looking for other than the musical skills?
