HISTORY
Fairbank Branch was inaugurated on June 12, 1919, in Wilcox Hall, on Vaughan Road in Toronto. It operated under the Charter of the Great War Veterans’ Association until 1926, when the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League was organized by the late Field Marshal Earl Haig. The G.W.V.A was then transferred to the Canadian Legion and a charter issued to Fairbank Branch 75 on September 6, 1926.
