College and university campuses can be a dark place for students as they try to figure out who they are and their purpose in life. Depression and suicide rates are increasing on campuses and with good reason. at our goal is to meet students on campus and direct them to Jesus who ultimately gives purpose and meaning to our lives and to create a Christ loving community and opportunity for students to grow in their faith as Christ followers on campus. I was one of those Christian students who entered college with many questions for God which really encouraged me to explore my faith seriously. I had many doubts about whether God existed. My faith was seriously challenged. I joined an Inter-Varsity bible study seeking answers and immediately felt heard and welcomed by those part of the bible study I attended. God met me in the scripture studies I attended with Inter-Varsity in a real and significant way that ultimately saved my walk with God. I am so grateful for the people part of Intervarsity that have mentored me and led bible studies because of their commitment and time I was really brought to God. As I am now finished my degree and work full time for Inter-Varsity at York U this year. As a full time staff I will be forced to depend on God this year as I learn to be led and lead students on campus to Jesus. All this being said I know that I am not able to make this happen without help which is why I need your support in this. Would you be willing to partner with me financially and in prayer as I take on this new challenge? I am to fundraise $54,697 for a full year of work. Hey Everyone! It's been awhile, about 5 years to be exact. As some of you may know I am back with InterVarsity in Alberta at the University of Calgary. It is very exciting to be able to do this work again. Here is a newsletter explaining how I was called back into this work and what work with InterVarsity will look like for me. Hey Everyone! I have great news of answered prayer! As Janice and I were away in Montreal this weekend for a work/pleasure trip we were praying for God to provide while I was away and he did! I heard news this morning of a gift of $1,000 which means I can be on campus now! Not fully funded yet. Thats the next goal (stay tuned for updates on this) but this is such a blessing! Praise God for graciously granting this! :)
