During WestJetter week, teams came together and prepared over 900 meals and baked goods, supporting over 300 families with sick and injured children across 8 Ronald McDonald House locations!

What is inside Ronald McDonald House? 🏠

Across Canada, every House is designed to support families in the moments they need it most. At Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario, the kitchen is one of the busiest places in the House.

Every day, chefs and volunteers come together to prepare meals for families — serving breakfast and dinner daily and providing over 66,000 meals every year. It’s one of the many ways Ronald McDonald House programs help families stay cared for and focused on their child's healthcare.

When Vinny was born with a rare genetic condition, the Castelli family’s world quickly became centred around his hospital care. With a toddler at home and months spent in the NICU, being able to stay close together mattered more than ever.​

The Ronald McDonald House Family Room at McMaster Children’s Hospital gave them a place to pause, refuel, and care for themselves without being far from Vinny's bedside. Just steps away, those small moments of relief made an overwhelming time feel more manageable.​
