Mary Ann Shadd Cary (1823-1893) left her mark as an active abolitionist and the first Black female newspaper editor in North America. We look forward to working with the Penn State Center for Black Digital Research to share records of her legacy leading up to the 200th anniversary of her birth next year.

In partnership with Myseum of Toronto & Ontario Black History Society & written by our very own Associate Artistic Director Luke Reece, this free theatrical experience is really unlike any online event you’ve been to over the past couple of years.
