POGO PJ PARTY

POGO PJ PARTY POGO Party
Thursday, February 7, 2019 Do not fret though. Join us for the inaugural POGO PJ Party on November 30th, 2017 at The Berkeley Church in Toronto.

After 15 successful years (with close to $9M raised), we have put the annual POGO Gala to bed...at least the gala as you know it. We have replaced the annual event with a different type of POGO Party, like nothing the city has seen before!! It is an adult cocktail party where you can wear your pjs or pj-inspired attire, it's up to you. There will be delicious food, a fun silent auction and fabulous entertainment. The theme is Fireside & Flannel. It's the coziest party of the year!

đź’– Honouring a Champion for Families and Community! đź’–

The POGO Community Partner Impact Award recognizes outstanding philanthropic contributions to POGO. This year’s recipient is Rebecca McKenzie , whose passion and generosity have strengthened POGO’s mission in extraordinary ways.

From her first run in a fundraiser benefitting POGO, to leading the POGO PJ Party Committee to inspiring fundraising initiatives across TMX Group, Rebecca’s efforts have raised vital funds and built meaningful partnerships. Her personal connection as a childhood cancer parent brings empathy and heart to everything she does—supporting families and rallying countless others to give back.

👏 Thank you, Rebecca, for your impact through fundraising, partnership building, and generous support that has powerfully advanced POGO’s mission and serves as an inspiration to others across the province.

Our Story

The 2nd annual POGO PJ Party took place on February 7th, 2019 at District 28 in Toronto. The POGO PJ Party is an adult cocktail party filled with delicious food, fabulous entertainment and the best pj or pj-inspired fashion. It’s the coziest party of the year!

Why the Pajamas?

For many, pajamas means warmth, coziness, a warm hug at the end of a long day. But for a child with cancer, pajamas can mean a very different thing: time living in hospital while undergoing treatment, long early morning car rides to clinic, sick at home, or missing school and playtime with friends and family.

Over $280,000 was raised on February 7th and proceeds will support POGO’s charitable programs. When a child is battling cancer, we ensure that the child has lifelong access to the best care for the best possible outcomes. We provide that child’s family with financial support to help ease the burden. We commit to their ongoing care, knowing that childhood cancer survivors endure medical challenges into adulthood. We advance cancer care for all children with cancer through our pioneering database and research. POGO leads a unique and impactful pediatric cancer network that is a model for Canada and the world. Learn more about POGO. As new treatments and technologies continue to increase the rate of survival for childhood cancer, care for these children, their families and survivors is becoming more and more complex. That’s why POGO is there for them from the start, and for as long as they need us, providing care, support, even financial help. Whatever it takes to make a difference, and change a life.
