CASS at Centre for Inquiry Canada Follow Public Education

CASS is committed to encouraging the public to think critically and scientifically about the world around them.

The Centre for Inquiry's National Committee for the Advancement of Scientific Skepticism (CASS) critically examines scientific, technological and medical claims in public discourse. We are developing school curricula and we also reach out to science fiction conventions with skeptical tracks addressing the role of science and skepticism in society. Defending Science

Despite overwhelming scientific

consensus on such topics as climate change and evolution, much of the public still believes anti-scientific rhetoric. CASS works to expose the fallacies and misrepresentations at the heart of climate change denial, creationism, and other anti-scientific movements. Exposing Pseudoscience

From extrasensory perception to quantum healing, our culture is awash in claims that sound "science-ish" but are really quite bogus. CASS works to expose pseudoscience, and to provide the public the tools to identify false and misleading claims.
