is a registered Canadian and United States charity that
supports development projects in eastern Nepal. Since its beginning in 1989, the Nepal Community Development Foundation has helped bring water, education, health, and hope to thousands of people in rural Nepal. We are based in Toronto, Canada and Boulder, Colorado. Our projects are implemented

The Namsaling Commmunity Development Center (NCDC). The Namsaling Community Development Centre is a Nepali non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1985 to facilitate initiatives in community self-reliance. NCDC works in partnership with community members and organizations, local and central governments, other Nepali NGOs, and international partners. Acting as a catalyst for local self-help solutions to rural development challenges, NCDC facilitates initiatives in non-formal education, agriculture, health and sanitation, water, income generation, communications, savings and credit, and environmental planning. Through voluntary contributions, community initiatives are carried out by primary stakeholders and user groups. Governed by an independent, publicly elected Board of Directors, NCDC’s mandate is to promote community self-reliance by mobilizing collective action toward sustainable livelihoods.
