Children's Circle Daycare is an independent, non-profit charitable organization based in the Riverdale community in downtown Toronto. Children's Circle is a special place. Our philosophy is to provide a caring, safe and affordable program where children are encouraged to learn, create, be active and have fun in a positive environment. Since opening in 1974 the Daycare has grown and adapted to mee
t the needs of the neighbourhood; and from that time cared for over 1500 children who have been able to call Children's Circle their "home away from home". A testament to the safe, stimulating environment and quality programming is the low turnover of both staff and children; Staff have an average of 10 years experience at Children Circle, and children stay for an average of 6 years or more. At present there are over 160 children cared for on a daily basis at Children's Circle, ranging in age from 18 months to 10 years old. This makes Children's Circle one of the largest independent daycares in Ontario. The daycare is made up of an ethnically and economically diverse community of children and staff, also providing integrated care for a small number of children with special needs. We look forward to continue serving the needs of the community for years to come.
