Canadian Macedonian Heritage Society Promoting public interest in the history of Canadians of Macedonian descent. Membership is growing rapidly and attracting energetic professionals.

The Canadian Macedonian Historical Society is a non-profit, charitable organization, incorporated under the Ontario Corporations Act, supported by volunteers and funded through programmed events and donations. The Society provides all Canadians, especially those of Macedonian descent, with a true perspective of Macedonian history and culture. Established in 1991, the Society is today the nerve cen

tre of academic and social activity. The Society is developing a greater awareness and pride amongst its members and within the entire Canadian community as to who we are, where we came from, and where we are going.

🇨🇦 MACEDONIANS IN CANADA: STAND UP AND BE COUNTED! 🇲🇰
This May, the 2026 Canadian Census is arriving in every mailbox across the country. This is a vital moment for our community to ensure our presence, language, and culture are accurately reflected in national statistics.
To make sure your voice is heard, here is how to complete the key sections of the census:
🔹 Questions 9a, 9b, & 10 (Language): When asked about the language you speak at home or learned first in childhood — write Macedonian.
🔹 Question 22 (Language Knowledge): For languages you know well enough to conduct a conversation — write Macedonian.
🔹 Question 23 (Ethnic Origin): When asked about your ethnic or cultural origin — write Macedonian.
Accurate data helps our community secure better representation and resources for cultural preservation. Let’s show Canada the strength of our heritage!
