Ontario Line contractor Connect 6ix has partnered with WCG, the Service System Manager for Toronto’s Employment Ontario service providers, to help local job seekers access employment opportunities on the Ontario Line project.

As part of this work, WCG and Connect 6ix will be hosting a free information session for residents in the Moss Park community interested in learning about employment opportunities on the Ontario Line.

Moss Park Employment Information Session

Date: Wednesday July 22, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Location: 40 Oak Street

During this session, participants will have the opportunity to:
⭐️Learn about current and upcoming Ontario Line career opportunities.
⭐️ Meet representatives from Connect 6ix and WCG.
⭐️ Learn about the skills and qualifications employers are looking for.
⭐️ Find out how to access free employment supports, including resume assistance, interview preparation, skills training and other job readiness services.

An overnight concrete pour is scheduled to take place at Moss Park tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14, starting at 10:30 p.m. The pour will continue until 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15.

The concrete pump truck will be stationed in the arena parking lot during the pour. Seven concrete trucks are scheduled to arrive and offload approximately every 30 to 45 minutes throughout the pour.

Metrolinx Changes to Work Start Time at Moss Park

Starting June 5, 2026, crews will begin some concreting days at 4:00 a.m., with deliveries starting at 3:00 a.m. This change is due to supply constraints, as the contractor has had to arrange an alternate supplier who is also servicing multiple projects across several sites.

Until supply conditions improve, this occasional concrete-related work will begin at 4:00 a.m. and may extend until 11:00 p.m. Non-concrete-related work will continue to start at the regular time of 7:00 a.m.

Stay Cool This Summer: Free AC Units for Eligible Toronto Residents!

ACTO alongside Low-Income Energy Network (LIEN), Advocacy Centre for the Elderly (ACE) and Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) has been working with the City of Toronto to help low-income residents stay safe during extreme heat through the Toronto Air Conditioner Program.

Who can apply?

Low-income seniors, pregnant individuals and families with infants are eligible to apply for a free portable AC unit.

A hydrovac truck will be on site at Moss Park tomorrow, March 11, starting as early as 7 a.m. Crews will use the hydrovac truck for a few hours to clean out the site’s water management tanks.

Fourth concrete pour at Moss Park- December 19, 2025

The fourth concrete pour for Moss Park is taking place next Friday, December 19, 2025. Crews will arrive on site at 4 a.m. and will continue this work until 11 p.m. The work activities will remain the same as the previous pours.
