The Maple Leaf is ready to race! 🍁💨

From September 19th to 21st, Team Canada takes on the world at the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, with world titles on the line in the mile, 5K and half marathon. 🌍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

And you know we’re going to be cheering a little extra loud for the seven AO athletes proudly repping Canada! 👀🍁

What a championship for Ontario!

Congratulations to all the Team Ontario and AO club athletes who took to the track and field at the 2026 Royal Canadian Legion Youth National Track & Field Championships and represented our province with pride! We’ve combed the results and apologize if we missed anyone. ❤️🤍

From PBs and breakthrough performances to national titles, podium finishes, and memories that will last a lifetime, Team Ontario athletes made their mark, with an impressive 45 medals and the most gold medals of any provincial branch.🏅

📮 POSTCARDS FROM EUGENE 🌲🇨🇦

One week ago, Hayward Field was buzzing as Team Canada and our AO athletes took on the world at the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships! 🌎🔥

From big moments and hard-fought rounds to personal bests, semifinals and finals, Canada’s next generation showed they belong on the world stage.

👏 Special shoutout to:

🇨🇦 Women’s 4x100m relay — Elizabeth Tannis, Jordynn Scott, Victoria Zolaturiuk & Tatiana Reyes (BC Athletics) who finished 7th in the final with a season’s best 44.64s
⬆️ Amairah Gayle, who finished 12th in the high jump, clearing 1.75m as a U18 athlete!

For some, Eugene marked the final chapter of an incredible junior career. For others, it was the beginning of something even bigger.

One week later, we’re still celebrating the memories, the moments and the Maple Leaf pride. 🍁❤️
