Gallery of Human Migration

Gallery of Human Migration The Gallery of Human Migration regards migration as a fundamental aspect of being human.

The Gallery of Human Migration (The Gallery) recognizes that migration is more than moving—it is a human right; a powerful shared experience that transforms individuals, communities, and cultures. Right now, we believe the most important thing Canada has that the world needs is an understanding of how a multicultural society is created and continually nurtured. The Gallery exists to help contextua

lize the forces that transform societies through the dynamic contribution of migration. The Gallery explores and celebrates the eternal journeys that shape societies everywhere. Our goal here is to create an online home for historical data, personal stories, and cultural insights that foster peaceful coexistence and elevate the concept of migration. A digital hub for learning and connecting that can help build a world where diversity and empathy are valued more deeply. We see migration as more than just the physical act of moving and the structures that facilitate it. Migration reflects the dynamic between our human experience and the environment, where the interplay of our emotions and memories can shape our understanding and connection to both the places left behind and those newly found.

Premiering on September 30, 2025, Canada’s Day of Truth and Reconciliation, this powerful new documentary will stream on APTN lumi

"The Good Canadian" pulls back the curtain on the myths we tell ourselves as a nation—exposing the deep roots of systemic racism and injustice, from the Indian Act to residential schools to the ongoing separation of Indigenous families today.

Directed by Leena Minifie and David Paperny, the film is part investigation, part national reckoning—told through the voices of those on the frontlines, confronting a system that continues to destroy lives.

With unflinching interviews, shocking archival footage, and courageous truth-telling, The Good Canadian challenges us all to face history honestly and imagine a new identity built from truth.
