"This election, all parties say it’s an issue. But their approaches vary wildly. [...] In May, despite a government mandate to foster competition and lower costs for consumers, the CRTC ended the lower rates mandated for wholesale resellers like TekSavvy, Distrubutel and Storm. The decision to lower rates had been mandated by the CRTC, upheld by the courts and then reversed by the CRTC under heavy lobbying from major players like Bell, Rogers and Telus."
