This week we are diving deep into Compagnie de la Citadelle Repertoire with two incredible, contrasting works:

Toi et Moi (Choreography by Laurence Lemieux) | Dive into refined specificity, intricate duets, and rich movement dialogue.

S*x Dalmatian’s Hot Holiday Spectacular (Choreography by Alyssa Martin) | Challenge your technique and theatrical skills in this hilariously absurdist contemporary dance theatre work.

We are in the West Coast to participate in Canada’s longest-running contemporary dance festival, Dancing on the Edge. We will be presenting Anne, a deeply personal solo work choreographed and performed by Artistic Director, Laurence Lemieux, at Vancouver’s historic Firehall Arts Centre.

Inspired by Lemieux’s ancestor, Anne Martin, the piece explores memory, individual power, and lineage, reflecting on the historic meeting of Indigenous and French cultures at the beginning of colonization. This powerful narrative is brought to life through a brilliant collaborative team, featuring a striking scenic installation by visual artist Edward Poitras, an original composition by Aidan McConnell, and atmospheric lighting by Nic Vincent.

See you tonight Vancouver!
