Gifts for the Homeless Inc A nonprofit organization that creates survival kits for shelters. The bags are specifically designed to help those in need in the winter time.

During the colder months the su***de rate is the highest, and people don’t usually have what they need to survive the cold months in Canada. Thus being said, the bags provide comfort to those in need. The bags include hats, scarfs, mittens, hands/feet warmers, a sweater (some have jackets), socks, t-shirts, a non-perishable food, a hygiene kit including tooth brush, tooth paste, a bar of soap, and

a red cross mini first aid kit. Some bags differ from others, and may have pads/tampons for women, or toys for kids, others may have notebooks and pens. Each bag is designed to suit all genders and age groups. These bags are to help and show others that one of the greatest gifts in life is giving. Creating the bags for those in need helps those on the street understand that their community is there to help them and to break the stigma around homelessness.
